Lit Up With Love: A Night of Faith, Community, and Healing at the YMCA’s Celebration of Prayer

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Melanated Melon proudly sponsored the YMCA of Upper Palmetto's 1st Annual Celebration of Prayer, held at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. This inaugural event brought together community members for an evening of faith, unity, and inspiration.
The evening featured a compelling keynote address by Pastor Derwin L. Gray of Transformation Church, who shared his journey from the NFL to ministry, emphasizing themes of healing and purpose. The event was graciously hosted by Michaela Scurlock, whose thoughtful moderation fostered meaningful dialogue and reflection.
Melanated Melon was honored to be among a hive of community leaders, change-makers, and supporters who gathered to uplift the mission of the YMCA. As part of our sponsorship, attendees at our table received a signed copy of Pastor Gray's book, Lit Up With Love, and a special gift bag featuring local honey harvested by our founder, Kathryn Martin.
